11.13.15 How horrible, and tragic

How horrifying and tragic, the attacks in Paris.
How heinous that we humans revert in these ways, thinking some good will come of doing wrong.
How difficult to accept the large scheme of things in life, where one ripples far upon the waters, round the world and back.

11.14.15 My young friends

The peripatetic gathering of the newest adolescent Crows, as fall descends and, for survival, they band together for roosting and feeding.

11.14.15 As the heavens grew rich with gold and shifting colors

Down by Kestrel Lane, the dusk rambled along as if it had all the time in the world, while the horses were brought in for the night, along with the sheep and goats and the reticent Alpaca; as the heavens grew rich with gold and shifting colors, and the day fell toward a close.

11.14.15 Out past the long arroyo

Out upon the river, past the long arroyo,
the wind spins us about with its force,
the river seethes with its beautiful whitecaps,
and Dante discovers how to race down
and swim in the cold waters.

11.14.15 Early this morning, out in the near woods

still we heard the unfamiliar voices and footsteps far out in the forest, the tell tale signs of hunters. So despite being in the close woods, still we turned and went home, relegated now still to the beautiful range, til Christmas is over, and hunting season done.

11.13.15 Catching a few rays

"Oh, go away! Pfft"
The alpaca has no need, for visitors or me, going by, on a brisk fall morning,as they lounge, day off from sheep, catching a few rays.

11.13.15 Ecstatic to renew

Almost mid November, still we at times have those bright cheery early mornings, the sun practically leaping upon us with its excitement, it's exuberance, as it falls and then falls again, upon everything in its' path, embracing, calling out, ecstatic to renew the bonds each day, all over again.
