8.19.15 The most interesting things to me about all of us, our choices, and the risk of cancers

The most fascinating thing to me about cancer, in my observation,is that when people get it, every now and again, they say they will do anything to get better. But it's often not really true. As soon as they learn how vital it is to use alternative pain meds or leave off wine , coffee , dairy ( increase toxicity of chemo) and really get in those two meals of orange and leafy green vegetables , they're arguing how unfair it is . As if they're three years old and not allowed lollies, vs being an adult and assessing their risk category and probably protections. There is something fascinating about our maturity level as a culture , and FYI , I am no exception .

Before any of us get cancer, we won't do anything to not get it. We really won't. We're really not willing to. As soon as people learn how problematic and dangerous the cumulative use of many products ,OTC products, chronic health conditions , diets and environmental choices are, the very first thing they say is. " Well, no one is going to keep me from my ______." Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? As if you're talking about anything on earth except for an adult, becoming as educated as they choose, and then maybe make new choices to stack the deck in favor of their longevity .

A lot of the new NIH research and exploration is illuminating what has been known in China and other nations for years about cancer. In order to stack the deck and not get cancer or not get a recurrence or be able to get better from cancer, much needs to be added to our lives . So many bases need to be covered, and well. And post chemo/ radiation ? So much inside of us needs to be detoxed, repaired , and the toxins from tx kept moving. Beautifully . Forever . Possible secondary sites need to be estimated, and supported very specifically . No one's making us "give up" anything. We're just always making choices, and some of them are going to deliver cancer at our doorstep. Others are going to help buffer us from cancer or a tx-caused recurrence.
