It was all bright light and warm streaming heat
from the sun, out on the farmer's fields, the dirt road giving seriously under
the car tires, beneath my feet and his paws, an exhausting kind of day, so the
meager car-dog-walk, he had to make do with, til we got down the road, where I
got out and stood, holding his leash, as he played 'Where are all the bunnies?'
In the shoulder high golden grasses, and I closed my eyes, held my face right
up to the sun.
