Today, it is warm, downright balmy,
as I step outside in nightgown with the wiggly pup, the ground too sodden for
slippers, the breeze bright and light and scented, with life flourishing in the
river's outwaters there, down below the steep conservation fields next door ,
and from all of life across the small mountain range, and further still.
Last night Dante made quite a racket, late,
as the neighborhood coyotes ambled by.
This morning as I stand out with him, the clouds are fleeing ,
turning a dark morning light .
The chipmunks making the executive decision to
awaken this early .
As everyone and everything alive is considering the
advent of the seasons of growth and expansion .
