4.13.16 Unfettered as can be

In the afternoon, with the gate across the doorway
Sorcha enjoyed time watching birds and chipmunk
and squirrel self-serving at the bird station , by my side, unfettered by the irritating bouncing pup.
Here in this house, there are strategically placed gates all over
to take into account the itchy as-of-yet poor restraint of Dante.
So that we can ensure both safe passage of the felines
and so that they can intermittently torment him with their games of hide and seek and chase, now and then stopping him up short
(while I police) and yak-yak-yaking a warning to him
and then going ahead and brazenly strolling across the kitchen or a hallway right past him, as I stand there to remind him that quick nips are not in the cards any longer.
