Sometimes it comes to pass
that others will deny
our most unspeakable experiences.
But listen carefully to how their fear turns them
away from truth, from empathy, from witnessing.
Sometimes, when others leave us alone with our
sad wronged repast, there is no help for it, but to turn,
and honor the truth
of our experience.
