The crows all came
together to harass the Goshawk for territory, til a mated pair of Broadwings
shouldered the crows out of town, whining. The cicadas were singing in full
force, a lone beauty of a heron fed in the flooded fields, and a Pileated
Woodpecker hung out happily on the flood quieted brook.
