Sometimes we end up
believing that the only way to bring value to our bad experiences, invalidated
by others, is to keep on thinking about them. To prove to ourselves how bad
they were. It doesn't work and it doesn't make sense.
You already know whether
you were well supported or not with those bad things happening. Value that
yourself. Always.
How unrelentingly hard and isolating and damaging that was.
Now, for your health and ease and life, consider changing your focus if the
memories come up ,not when you're productively healing, but just ranging.
Consider saying to yourself 'Yes, that was hard and wrong . I'm sorry.
Now
let's return to the present moment, including our love and understanding
for
that past."
