6.9.15 What is to come

How important it is, and settling, to get a sense of a day. Of this day.

To calm anticipation, distraction, and fears just enough to feel the solid presence of what we each know to be true, for us.

To grow open to possibility, to all that is unknown.

To nourish within us the confidence that will solidify our ability to meet up with what is to come.

6.8.15 Above us, shimmering

Back from an early appointment, back from a treat meal out, we ramble down the farm field road by the river,

as I show him the shed the Marten lives beneath,
the Killdeer assiduously protecting their small ruffled young,
the enormous sharp tracks of a deer that bounded across the fields in the night.

Above us, shimmering , stretch the almost-rain clouds, the sun peering out from beneath.

6.8.15 I feel the earth move

I feel the earth move under my feet
I feel the sky tumbling down, tumbling down
I feel my heart start to trembling
Whenever you're around

6.8.15 The deep breath of the day

The morning wind
moved through the neighborhood
revealing pale undersides of leaves
fluttering the newly blossomed Larkspurs
the dark crimson Peonies
the deep breath of the day
