9.17.15 The soft billowy evening wind

After spending the day cleaning up a bit, writing a bit,  paperwork to sell online the wonderful products I sold in my practice all these years; after repotting some of the zillion houseplants still happily outside, to lug in, to give for the most part to my too-excited-to-stand-still-go-figure-daughter, with all the rest rest resting in between, and then the napping in between the obligatory restings, we had the meandering outside with the pup to explore possible rabbit and squirrel and mouse burrows and suspiciously quaking-in-the-breeze mile high Goldenrod. After the dinner was begun and the beloved came home from work and rested on the BioMat and then took 1,000 supplements and liquids and pellets and all, why he went off to Crossfit to umph and ooph with all his friends there, while I wandered down the road to say how ya to the end of the day in these parts, to gaze upon what sort of fine finish we have been given in these hours of dusk and humming crickets and soft billowy evening wind.

9.17.15 The corn stands alone...the corn stands alone....hi ho the derry oh..

9.17.15 We, none of us, now find ourselves immersed in the life we

had imagined. Sometimes we imagined nothing at all; sometimes we held vague hopes, coupled with a few hopeless convictions, held privately to our chests. But often enough, we had those desultory imaginings, of some sort of satisfied Disney deal, where the hero arrives at last, is championed, and the whole lot of them go on home for the night.

9.17.15 Seems like our intention is

to do the best we can in this moment, while seeing what is possible in the next.

9.17.15 A day in the life

9.17.15 Two years is a long time. Life begun as a small black mushroom of a pup.

9.17.15 You can see the path a coyote took, early this morning

You can see the path that a Coyote took, early this morning, The deer are taller, and step high, leaving a different pattern. The small mammals different also. Imagine being the Coyote, waking up and uncurling, stretching, and then making your way through the field to sip dew, maybe go drink at the river, and catch yourself some juicy mice far into the corn.
