11.2.15 Sunrise, at the OK Corral.

11.2.15 The bright colorful forest gardens of Fall. Up on Summit Road, for a stroll yesterday.

11.1.15 Summit Road, after the rains

11.1.15 Swimming in your best laid plans

There's so much grappling in life. I'm feeling pretty sick of it . I'm wondering what you have to do to get a simple delusional dissociative make believe Disney Movie fake story-line delivered , around around here.
I know. It doesn't work , deluding oneself. It's just that real life is so easily tangled . Messy.

Not what you'd select on the entree menu , not even as a side dish for goodness sake.

Or find yourself awaiting eagerly , looking over your shoulder every few minutes, as you sip your metallic tap water, waiting for some kind of wonderful to arrive.

It's just not like that. It defies fantasy and wishful thinking and 'meant-to-beisms'

And instead ? Just bungles along. Being life on a stick. Day on a platter; swimming in  your best laid plans.

10.31.15 Baby humungo

Yesterday I was driving on home, when I noticed baby humungo cloud careening into the neighborhood. Really quite awesome, so enormous, that all the houses and trees looked like playthings. Lovely.

10.31.15 Once, and never more

All these moments on earth.
Here, and then gone .
Whether we are there to see them or not.
Once; and nevermore.

10.31.15 We did take our good time

This morning I wondered about the car, so there was no customary walk to stretch out big boy muscles .
He was itch itchy all day , revealing how he would be without his usual two walks a day, chasing cats and bringing me toys and wanting to bite and wrestle and b- o-r-e-d.

Thankfully my beloved checked the car ( ok) and then left with the car,
and finally returned with the car , but late, so darkness had fallen .
But still ,off we happily went to Summit Road, and strolled up and down , while he pseudo hunted in the grasses, doing those funny dog- fox- coyote-wolf bunny hops, to flush out small creatures .

The leaves crumbling under our feet shone beneath the heavily overcast skies that, nevertheless, held behind them a waning moon still full of brightness. So all was muffled light deep blue, but everything visible .

As the wind raced along the small mountain range, and angling along the road and leaves and grasses and things, we did take our good time .
