It was a lovely windless
day, down by the farmers fields.
Cold enough for winter coat, yet sunshine warm
enough to go hatless.
Easy enough in lazy sneakers, the snow hard to still hold
you up.
As geese flew by and hawks circled and the late winter sun blazed
through
the overhead clouds, a glimpse now and then of true blue skies.
