1.10.15 Dragged Along Behind Us All Day Long

Some days are full and bright and 

smooth while others start right out at the

  gate stilted, fraught with 

mishaps, heartrends ; small 

natural disasters and bills, the grinding 

effort of how to manage it at all

And still, we know we are

 one of  the many : microbe 

ant bear tree human that 

came before; and shall come after

finding ourselves tucked into this

Yet, it is all these things, in the midst of
who we are and how we are being
 seeing and feeling,  that involve the 

kind of filter we unfortunately

Selected from our bureau top or

fell upon as we crawled from sleep

or matched to our tie or shirt
or simply adhered to our foot like an errant slip of

 trailing toilet paper that is

 dragged along behind us all day long
