Outside
the day is finally cooling, as I pull onions from the rich garden dirt, my bare
feet sinking into the wet , as the sprinkler works hard spewing water overhead,
cold fresh well water across the thirsty garden, as a BABY iridescent green
Hummingbird comes by , zipping their teeny tiny wings in their own 1 1/2 "
meet and greet. "Oh my, aren't you just beautiful!" I say , pushing
hair out of my face with dirt smeared fingers, as this smaller version hovers,
looking at me ; then zips over to the sprinkler water and then they ,too ,play.
Oh my.
