Early morning, the dew-soaked grasses
glow
bright ochre and green and sand grey in the mist,
as horses and alpaca and
goats and sheep go about their lives
at the farm down the road, a robust
Broadwing Hawk perches
quietly in a statuesque Oak on the edge of the meadow ,
and I watch the fog curl like a ribbon as it encounters the mountain range ,
with some brisk wind
pressing it on and forward,
toward some other town
in some
other time.
