2.25.17 We all know something

We all know something of the challenges others face. When we know our own, it's near impossible to imagine how on earth others manage at all at all.

 At that exact moment when they wonder how they can get to the crosswalk from the middle of the street. 

Or how they will ensure food and other necessities this week, or get to the bathroom without a crawl. 

How they will take their next breath, with this unrelenting pain. 

How they will insist to themselves that the past due cleaning is not a reflection of who they are, but what they are and are not able to do. 

All over the world, we share our struggles and our joy. 

We hold onto our hope like the quietly coming dawn. 

We dare not live these hours and minutes without seeking out that shimmering early light.
