The earth is softening with the intermittences of warmer days, and the few days of persistent rains, the snows just about gone. So we have thick rich mud, that young ones with pickups feel compelled to try themselves against, and in whose softened excesses the tracks of wildlife remain , from their wandering through the long dark nights.
