At the base of the ridge by the
waters is a visible and often used trail , traveled by wildlife and no one else
. Don't you love knowing that somehow, for their own survival, they elude us,
hunt and are hunted, have partners and babies and neighborhoods,
and go about
their lives ?
In the middle of last night , I was unable to sleep , so sitting in the dark living room , doing mindfulness , as I noticed a very young raccoon walking through the yard, up the brick walk, and over to the compost.
Just now, while
out peeing the dog before bed, two foxes quietly ran through the front yard,
between us and a passing car. So many lives.
