One of the saddest things I've encountered is when we humans
rail against ourselves, and yearn somehow to have been more than we are.
If we consider
the forest, or history, or simply look around, what we discover is that not
everyone is everything. Has everything. Gets to do everything.
Accomplishments,
fame, partners, lost weight - if you listen to those humans around you, you
discover that the fantasy list is endless.
Prevalent also are our lies to
ourselves.
If I had been better, I would be married now.
If I was more gifted,
I would have a huge income.
Be published. Be traveling the world over. Be
healthy right now.
And so? Our choice. Be kind to yourself, if you want.
The Bathtub Rule?
And so? Our choice. Be kind to yourself, if you want.
The Bathtub Rule?
We can either spend our time
right now feeling badly about what was not,
or we can be filled with feeling
such good about who we are and have been.
