3.30.16 Sweeping through

Early on we encounter thick glistening frost on all the new bright green grasses,
and a layer of ice upon the waters.
But the large flocks of Robins remained undeterred,
efficiently hunting in the soft underbelly of Spring's landscape.
Looking up from their industriousness only to take note
of the large sleek Falcon sweeping past , without a sound,
without so much as a ruffled feather .
I pause, watching, to see their dark fierce face as it turns left, then right,
taking stock as only Falcons do, then sweeping through .
