2.17.16 As I sat inside and watched

This morning was damp and thick and slow, the snow stiff from the night cold, as we crept along in the dark overcast light. Still, the pup yearned, and once out, raced happily, panting, sides heaving in the exertion.
I myself felt great
urgency, because it was imperative I got home and exercised my new super powers, drag out the snow blower , pull on the enormous mask, and set the long driveway to rights, before the rain came and then the frozen cold and possible frozen rutted driveway disaster .
But the pup got his run, and I got the driveway done , despite its lack of
finesse , and got to go in and fall over, sides heaving, to recover.
Til the rains did come after all, instead of more snow, fluttering and splashing down upon everything , as rain does, as I sat inside, and watched.
