4.13.15 Holding nothing back

As the sunset nears, I bring the little old Shiva in from her time outside, standing and feeling the breeze in her beautiful fur, smelling the scents of live far from here.

I pack the pup into the car, and take off down the mountain, toward the river, the ice covered layers only a dream from days gone by.
We zip by the Eagle Sanctuary, to take in the view, as the golden sky turns pink, yellow, purple.

As the Mallard couple dines upon delicacies from the spring pools in the field. Up Summit Road, I park, grab the little Shepherd from the back, and we head up the flat pavement, the range looming above us.

Three White Tail Deer are caught unawares, as they nibble a desert from the remaining dried corn left in fields, and then see us, leaping high and gracefully, tails bobbing through the forest as they make their way.
Spring peepers hold nothing back, their vibrant song filling the air, as the earth tucks into the night here, and we head back home.
