1.30.16 'The deepening diagonal'

Sometimes we realize so much, simply by observing ourselves .
So many tipsy-turvy photos lately, on the road .
As if going somewhere?
Off balance? Or simply things feeling like they are so much , coming on fast, as the view feels, when one is im
mersed in the ride.
"The trees swooshing past; the deepening diagonal."

1.30.16 As stark and reclusive

I've always loved midwinter
as stark and reclusive as any midnight

1.30.16 Swept away

This morning, the dappled quilt of daybreak
swept along the curve of the earth
visiting, cajoling, calling out salutations
as it went on it's shimmering way.

1.29.16 To be, or not to be

Ah, no matter the weights we might feel upon our hearts and minds.

Still, let's bask in the ending moments of the day.

1.29.16 Tumbling down

I left the home of my old friend , on my way, filled with love and laughter and the sublime experience of knowing, of being known. And stopped alongside the sweet old river, as the small snow quietly fell, to stand for a moment on the frozen banks , to feel the deep grooves of rippling winter waters, the swirling winds, and the subtle blush of afternoon tumbling down around us all.
