4.3.17 E-qua·nim·i·ty
I realized, after
listening to a friend, as they became clear and honest in their life,
using
EFT, that what they were experiencing was equanimity.
Equanimity is neither a
goal nor a destination.
Rather, it's a byproduct of effectively digesting our
experiences today, so that we find ourselves with more and more peaceful, detached,
clarity.
E-qua·nim·i·ty: mental calmness, composure, and evenness of temper,
especially in a difficult situation.
4.2.17 Go. Do. And then? Be.
Sometimes I meet people who have decided they want to 'BE' a something. They think they want to 'BE' a writer or a healer or famous or something else. Myself? I think they're confused.
I mean, the Khardashians (sp?) wanted to 'BE' famous ( to be wealthy and have attention) and it worked. I hope that works for them.
But mostly in life, what works, in fact, is DOING what matters to you.
If writing matters to you, write.
If building affordable housing matters to go, build affordable housing.
If learning how we heal, and the how to help individuals heal, matters to you, go learn and then practice that.
The funny thing is, if you do what matters to you,and work at it, and care about doing it effectively and well, for the SAKE of contributing that quality to the world, there is a good chance you will , in the process, become something.
So many of us get mixed up, set our sights on some really fun eye candy. Then our little ego starts to sing, chanting 'Oh, everyone would think us so cool, if they saw us do that.' But I've rarely seen that blossom into real. Into effective. Into lasting value.
So go . Go write and study and practice and learn and care. And before you know it, all of your remarkable writing or studying or practicing or caring will grow you into your self.

4.2.17 It's great beauty
The small field pond,
rejuvenated by Spring rains and Winter melt,
reflecting the great beauty of the
skies in its' waters.
4.2.17 Now fallen into the waters
https://www.facebook.com/GwenMcClellanWordsandPictures/videos/1272980629405385/
There is this seasonal
pond near Kestrel Lane.
Once there was a fence bordering it, that has now
fallen into the waters,
dust to dust.
Someone once defied zoning, and build
three big fancy homes here, in wetlands. Pissed off the town, who reminded them
that no one would ever live there. Called the bluff.
Someone else did a
dissertation on recycling every single bit of the three houses, so in this way,
they finally vanished.
Always wildlife and snappers flourish in this stream-fed pond.
This past summer, we suffered a drought.
The pond dried up. It was so sad. But sometimes, these things happen.
Now, we have some Spring rains. We are blessed with Winter melt.

The land is happily drinking , being nourished.
At least
buffered against whatever dry may arrive, come summer.
Adaption is always the
key.
