5.27.15 The spring proceeding very nicely, thank you very much

I've taken to waking early, jumping in the car, and bringing the pup to non-mosquito lands, to amble down sidewalks by the small town's greens.

Here, people stand around tall tables, trimming asparagus just picked moments ago, then settling them in water, to drink their fill til someone drives by a farmstand, and takes them home. Radio fills the air as they talk and laugh and work.

Down the street lay fields everywhere in this farming community, with farm workers from other countries just beginning their long days, in the relative cool of the early morning breeze.

On we stroll, as he delights in every smell, every surprise, every new drain pipe, or trill from the branches far above.

"Here, right here!" the day calls to me, settling me in only what is happening right now.

The stolid feel of my feet upon the sidewalk, greenery everywhere abounding despite little rain.

The spring proceeding very nicely, thank you very much, on toward our next summer. As the earth turns and the sun rises high into the blue bright sky.
