7.9.15 Soon, the batch of them are marauding about

Here and where you live, Spring arrives. Birds mate, and build nests in your birdhouses or elsewhere. A clutch of eggs is laid, and then hatches, growing up rapidly, til they venture carefully from the nest, into their neighborhood. Soon enough, the baby Sparrows meet at the garden arch, with the baby Bluebirds, baby Phoebes, and baby Downy Woodpeckers. The Pine Siskin babies flit by, and they all form a camaraderie of growing, exploring fledglings. Soon the batch of them are marauding about, first at the front doorstep, discovering the deliciousness of seeds of long grasses, playing and trying out new skills. Soon enough, they are sweeping through the yard, fast! Zooming about, having fun, calling to each other. At the end of the day, after a good splash in the birdbath, off they go, back into birdhouses or nests or the branches near where they emerged, to sleep, and I would imagine, to dream.
