6.5.16 Thick and Fast

Down by the farmers fields, the clouds are thick and fast, the rain over for a bit, as we luxuriate in the low barometric pressure that pulls all cows slowly to ground.
One Peregrine Falcon sweeps around into the neighborhood, and sends everyone scurrying. I turn back toward the car and see the flashing tail of a deer, as they catch sight of us, as they slip into the woods.
The huge red tractor is digging up the soil over in a far field, this early , back and forth, while the bright golden dried grasses have been gathered up from the ground, and carefully stored off somewhere.
The wind arrives and the whole stretch of woods becomes flashing pale green, as every leaf turns and here are their soft underbellies.
As I stand and the pup stands, satiated, and we watch the thick purple clouds press by.
