Overhead, the neighborhood Goshawk had it out a little with a local crow,
competition for territory. The Goshawk's mate and their year old offspring
from last summer, were in the trees, the babe calling out to the protective parent.
The crow backed down, and the swift Goshawk continued circling their place,
a clear announcement as any to all the other birds.
