In bodywork, there's something called a
Stillpoint. It's kind of a place you meet up with, in someone, an area that has
been a bit tangled up, or stuck. And when you come along, and just hang out
being present, with no agenda, it is just enough support to enable that place
to regain a bit more normal functionality.
When
you are learning, and just come upon a place in someone's body as you work,
there is a pause. You almost hear a greeting of sorts. You are called to be
still for a moment, and be very present.
The
older I become, the more I notice when our Deep Wise Self beckons in the same
manner. To stop, here, at this moment. To just stand or sit or be with this.
This uncomfortableness. This confusion. This heartbroken feeling. Same. Bodies,
our deep internal functioning, life.
The more experienced we become living our lives or doing bodywork, the more agile and versatile we become, also, at more actively ushering these places along, letting them lead.
