One of my dear friends has a Volt.
Completely electric car, with a little capacity for some gasoline. She bought
it used. Put a little bit of gas in it. Has used may be a couple of gallons.
No, she doesn't have huge commutes.
Yes she's had it for about six months.
Not
a sound.
Not one bit of pollution.
When she showed it to me, and turned it on,
I was just shocked.
Because we itinerant humans go around idling our cars and
spewing horrible things, shitting where we sleep, every single day.
I just wanted
to embrace the entire little car.
I was just so grateful.
That maybe
eventually, we will be here long enough
that we will create a turning of the
tides.
