Because of the extraordinary lack of rain this summer , consider, this fall, watering bushes, shrubs and trees once, and well. A few gallon jugs , or better yet, the hose set on small tiny trickle, left by the base of a tree or plant , to slowly soak in all night long. This fills up storage areas of growing things, reduces this significant stress of so little rain, sets things to right a bit, and protects them from damaging deep freeze during winter.
