3.11.17 Ask, tell.

What happens when time passes, and we find we want more from our lives? How often this surfaces , a bobbing apple returning to the surface, manifesting as a yearning for something from others. A sense of something due to us , somehow, and if not delivered, why then, the requisite sense of wronged disappointment.
Drama encased in individualism, woven into age.
In our culture here, the remedy is not necessarily asking, for asking for what we wish for is often met with derision. Stiff upper lip. Don't show weakness. Put on a good face.
Don't ask, and don't you tell.
It isn't existing unhappily and without, which is a fine quick path to self delusion and bitterness.
Yet we have age-old mentors from present to long ago, who bound together their interests, their abilities and delight, into any sort of connected community.
That is not perfect nor any old Disney Movie, but rather a workable path of compromise, of pragmatic possibility , and the autonomy of creative solution.
