5.29.16 Such loveliness sometimes does surround us

After so many events and struggles and new therapeutic things to adapt to and a small car accident and lots of duct tape ( that would make Red Green proud) , the day smoothed out into something nice .
Come evening , I called the guy upstairs and we set out sans pup to the Mt. Holyoke Pond, for some smooth sweet stuff.
We ambled along, holding hands , short sleeves and flip flops , peering first at the amazing golden reflection of the golden sun in the process of going down .
We came upon an acquiescent young Beaver, hanging out not far away, munching happily on their dinner.
We passed by the rushing dam, past innumerable young people, the females of the species without exception tottering on ( I remember) horribly uncomfortable , very fancy very high high heels.
We came upon the evening skies , resplendently reflected in the broad quiet pond.
We passed slowly by two Canadien Geese on the shore, tending their six small downy grey goslings.
Passing over the bridge, we leaned over, looking far down into the smoothly moving waters, all darkness and nightfall and greenery.
Such loveliness sometimes does surround us.
