8.29.16 Hundreds of yellow butterflies upon the thistle

Down by the farmer's fields we came upon a long row of small pink thistles, being fed upon by hundreds of newly hatched yellow butterflies, which  of course is why their parents laid the eggs there in the first place. Dante stirs up clouds of them, which settle quickly to feed once again on the hot end-of-summer day.
