3.4.15 Course, the snow is deep

Course, the snow is deep
Things are pretty different than years past, so we're not tromping out down the snow covered meadows, exploring the ravines and streams, gazing out over the river's outwaters.
But hey, adaptability is important. So we go by the opposite side of the river, down by the farmer's fields, where the land opens up and the sky goes on forever.
Where there are so many shades of brown and red and grey in the limbs and buds and barks of the slowly wakening trees and brush.
Where the pup races alongside the car, holding an old glove happily in his mouth, smiling at me as we warm him up, then let him run!
Back and forth along the deserted road, leaping up into the deep snowbanks, down into the melting snows on the road.
Beautiful dark March day. How could you ask for anything more?
