I've met so many people who, as children,
listened to the neighborhood trees applaud and support them; felt that
communion that has no words nor limits, but rather is with us on into
adulthood, and as we age . That remarkable sense of oneness with the living
things of the natural world.
Tonight, after such a long long day, outside the
wind rose up through the forest and swept across the conservation fields within
the thick darkness , and looking up into the starry sky , still I was not
alone.
