4.16.16 Can you see me now

When I was younger, I tried out considering the great difficulties of others, to see if that would put in perspective, or make more bearable, my own.
But over time, what we learn is that instead, it's how the known or imagined challenges
of others provide a counterpane 
to our own lives. 
The better or worse than is not the point,
but rather , in perspective .
Part of the whole.
The broad range of life and circumstance. The continuum we are part of, warp and weave.
The standing-by-the-ocean-experience.
The regained consciousness as our gaze remembers the divine lay of the land .
Wherein so much happens, and this is where we are now.
