4.21.16 Waking up

There are these small enclosures all along the Connecticut that you come upon, each a small enclave of neighborhood, replete with so many generations of varied species.
We the humans have been raised to think and behave as if we are the big bosses of the planet, the tip top of a hierarchy,
what with our cars and guns and houses and pollution and all the choices you can eat.
But that is only one criteria for measuring the wisdom and worth of a species .
To realize the big wide consciousness of the real picture, we need to step aside. We need to stop staring , enamored, at ourselves in the pool .
We need to wake up and stand up and look around , enabling our existence to regain its proper perspective , one of many , harming all.
