An enormous old Aster I've had for maybe 12 years, from a
roadside stand ,
they are about 6' high and 5' across, bound up so as not to
break.
Besides the lettuce gone to seed and the broccoli and cauliflower
flowering,
and the wild asters, it's the last pollinator food before the last
frost.
A favorite of the Praying Mantis, as breakfast consists of a bunch of sleepy
bees
nestled into closed blossoms.
