2.24.16 There was the no wind, and the no rain

There was the no wind, and the no rain; the somewhat clear, running-shoes-friendly dirt road that, oh Goldilocks, wasn't too muddy melted or frozen Icy, but just right.
So we got out there, tossing his ball, that didn't disappear into snowbanks or sink into thick mud, but crazily bounced high and sailed far, over the still nicely frozen fields.
The road had plenty of hoof prints from some very happy neighborhood horses , out finally on rides.
And thank goodness, the road lent itself once more to jogging and counting, as the cloudy about-to-snow skies filed with communing birds and romancing Hawks and the swift melted river.
All of this so welcome, I smiled past the tough few last days , toward the loveliness of this one we have been given.
