2.26.16 Coming to

Sometimes we come to
only to find ourselves engaging in old thoughts or behaviors, like a wind out of old time.
We wake up, look around, and say to ourselves 'Oh my, I know this one. Again??!! How did I get here??!'
Then we get up and dust ourselves off, as we are hit with that moment of doubt; as we say to ourselves 'WILL I be able to walk away from this, this time?'
But then , with a little aging , and maybe a little help from our friends, we realize that whatever words or messages are rolling through our mind or spilling out of our mouths, they are irrelevant.
We get more and more adept at the teeter-totter of life, learning that returning to the present moment, after taking a cue from our current state of mind, and then leaving it be,becomes the most reliable way of gradually growing a quieter calmer mind.
The only relevant thing becomes standing up and walking out of that old illusory place, and very very simply getting on the path once again.
